// What will I be doing
Honest answer: it's set construction. Painting, building, prepping, striking, studio assist. Not glamorous, not coffee runs. The work that makes the work possible.
// What counts
SET BUILD
Frame and skin from drawings. 2x4s, MDF, screws, the chop saw. If you've never picked one up, we'll show you.
PAINT
Roller and brush, sometimes spray. Base coats, scenic finishes, distressing. Detail-orientation rewarded.
PREP
Photographing pieces, tagging them into the catalog, prepping the day's set list. Methodical work.
STRIKE
When a production wraps, we pull it apart and route everything — to catalog, to the recycling stream, or to a future build.
STUDIO ASSIST
During shoots: PA-style runs, equipment shuffling, set holds, working alongside the on-set team. Eyes open.
SKILLED TRADES
Carpentry beyond framing. Electrical. Welding. Scenic-grade paint. Bring proof, earn faster.
